If you're looking for a quiet afternoon steeped in local culture, the beautifully preserved Mission San Luis Rey offers an incredible glimpse into early California history. Between beach walks and museum grounds, you'll find plenty of upscale spots to grab a morning coffee or a curated bite right in Oceanside.

Temecula

Just a short drive inland, the rolling hills of Temecula offer an elegant daytime escape for wine lovers and foodies alike. We highly recommend booking a seated tasting and enjoying the Mediterranean-inspired architecture at Europa Village Wineries & Resort. Afterward, you can wander the historic streets of Old Town Temecula to explore local boutiques and settle in for a fantastic barbeque meal.

La Jolla

A beautiful coastal retreat just south of Oceanside, this area is known for its upscale boutiques, fine dining, and breathtaking Pacific views. Spend a relaxed afternoon watching the famous sea lions at La Jolla Cove and walking the scenic shoreline. It is the perfect place to enjoy a refined lunch overlooking the water before heading back to the hotel to freshen up.

If you have the time to venture further south, the city offers a fantastic mix of activities to suit any interest. Spend your day exploring the beautiful art museums and world-famous zoo within the historic grounds of Balboa Park. For a more leisurely afternoon, head over to wander the vibrant, restaurant-lined streets of the Gaslamp Quarter to enjoy the city's incredible brewery and culinary scene.

Our journey began when Adam set his Hinge preferences to "Jewish" and "within a 1-mile radius of me." And the rest is history...Connected by our shared roots at Northwestern University and a love for improv, our story officially began over drinks at the Melrose Umbrella Company. With freshly dyed pink hair and a love of sunrise DJ sets, Tamara worried that she might be "too much" for this nice Jewish boy from the north suburbs of Chicago. Instead, Adam held her hand across the table all night and surprised her with a kiss that sparked our beginning. That evening kicked off a beautiful series of local adventures, from terrible showings at pub trivia to stargazing at the Griffith Park Observatory.Adam first said "I love you" at a Chromeo concert, a moment that sparked our favorite excuse to see the world: traveling together for live music, history, and phenomenal food. We’ve shared incredible international adventures, from our first big trip to Colombia to meeting old friends in Sicily and Malta. We’ve also weathered unforgettable detours, like a surprise birthday trip to Iceland where Tamara nearly froze to death, only for Adam to fall asleep before catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

Through all the passport stamps, we quickly learned that our favorite adventure was simply building a life together. Tamara knew it was forever when she genuinely contemplated an eight-hour midnight drive to rescue a stranded Adam from an Arizona airport. Today, our families have seamlessly intertwined; Adam happily teams up with Tamara’s family against her in good fun, while Tamara relies on Adam’s mom and sister as her go-to fashion consultants. We could not be more thrilled to bring everyone we love together to celebrate the official beginning of our next chapter.
